WORD! To Yo Motha!
Merriam-Webster is holding it's traditional (2nd year) Word Of The Year competition. Last year, the word “truthiness” won with an astonishingly huge (no homo) margin of victory of 5 to 1. But last year it was a free for all. This year they limited your votes to only 20 candidates.
Voting closes on Friday 12-7.
Your choices are:
apathetic, babymoon, blamestorming, charlatan, conundrum, cruft, eleemosynary, facebook, hypocrite, linkability, melancholy, pecksniffian, pretentious, pugnacious, quixotic, sardoodledom, sputum, subpoena, vanity sizing, and, w00t
I’m going to vote for whom ever can make a sentence out of one of these words and make it sound dirty.
