Friday Random

Howdy Ya’ll! Good mornin’ too ya!

How's life treatin' ya?

Not much going on in the office today. It’s just before 1:30. I just finished all of the work that I had scheduled for the day so lets talk about some random stuff.

Tonight, Friday, I have to go to Garry Gribble’s at Independence Mall and pick up my packet for a 5K that I’m in running tomorrow. The run is inside the caves off of 291 Highway. The good things about running in caves is that the temperature will be about 70 degrees, the course will be totally flat and really fast, and there will be no wind to fight against. So I’m looking to post my all time fastest time for a 5K (3.1 miles).

If I don’t get a new T.V. soon then I am going to go insane. Last night I went out to Nebraska Furniture Mart looking around. I found one I want but instead of buying it right then and there I came home and did some comparison shopping at Best Buy and Circuit City. I have never gotten good service at best buy, and I’ve never bought anything from circuit city. When I was looking at NFM I was only there 20-30 minuets and had 4 sales men offer to help me find something. They probably work on commission but it is still better service that the other too stores. Now, if they don’t have the one that I want (and stand) in stock I am going to have to punch someone in the dick. Because there web site says they have BOTH in stock.

Then I have to call Direct TV and tell then to upgrade my entire system to HD. Which means scheduling a dude to come out Install a new dish (I don’t think my current dish is HD capable, but it might be I don’t know) run the wires and install a new HD satellite receiver with DVR, they don’t do tivo any more. Tivo is a brand name of DVR.

Just in case you haven’t heard about it there is going to be a Blogger Lovefest (or a Blog Mixer whichever you prefer) on July 26th at Governor Stumpy’s Bar and Grill It’s hosted by Heather at General Blather & Spyder at My Syderweb. It will be the first one I will be attending (mostly because I can’t think of an excuse not to be there) so that anyone that read this blog can finally meet me and be disappointed. I do have a work thing I might skip unless I get some free stuff, like a company tee shirt, out of it. I should be there around 5:45 or six if I skip it.
