Christmas Shopping - The D's Way

Every Christmas I always wait until I see 2 Christmas movies before I get in to the Christmas sprit to go shopping.

Movie #1: A Christmas Story

I love that movie it absolutely cracks me up. I usually watch it twice in a row. I record it on my Tivo and watch then I watch it again right after.

Movie #2 - Its A Wonderful Life

I also love this movie it has everything except full frontal nudity and gratuitous sex.

Both of these movies were on this weekend. Sorry about your luck if you missed them.

Now to the shopping, I usually wait until the last minuet to even start the purchasing. When I was living in Saint Louis I would wait until I was on on my way back to Kansas City to do my shopping. A quick in and out to the mall, Target, Wal-mart and I am done. When I get to K.C. I would bribe my sister into wrapping the gifts for me because if I wrapped them then they would end up looking like a 4 year old wrapped them.

We do not give every adult in the family gifts it would just be too expensive for some of them. So we draw names at Thanksgiving so I only have to buy for one adult.

I research all of my gifts on line since I have mostly kids (nieces and nephews) to buy for, I hassle there parents until they give me a list of at least 2 items that their kids want. I then go on line to find which stores have the gifts. I even find out where in the stores the items are located. Doing it this way, by preparing, researching and proper planing I was able to do all of my shopping in under 2 hours today. That my friends is why men are better purchases than women.

Men don't shop we buy. Women will just go out without any type of plan and just wing it. We men research, plan, and evaluate prices. Women just go to any store and meander around until they find something they think someone will like.

As I was out Christmas shopping I also bought my birthday/Christmas gift for myself, a black 30 gb video IPOD. Which I totally LOVE!!! The best part about it is that it is very LOUD!!! And that is how I like my rock music LOUD!!! I will surely be totally deaf by the end or the year, which will be very fucking sweet because I will not have to listen to people telling me how dumb I was for listening to my IPOC with the volume all the way up!
